I would like to have a condensed version of the schema browser available while on the editor window. For example: Take the "Left Hand window" from the schema browser and present it like the Project Manager window. Take the Right Hand and present it like the "messages/data grid/auto trace/etc..." at the bottom of the editor. This would allow browsing the schema without leaving the code.

Have you tried using F4? When you are in the editor place your cursor on a table/view. Press F4. This brings up a docked window for that talble with all of the right hand side tabs of the Database Browser. Seems similiar to what you are asking. Try it and let me know how we can improve this.

F4 is just for the single table highlighted. What I would like to see is featured in competitors product. They call it an Object Brower. I like the auditional information you get from Toad and would like to see that also. I would be happy with the F4 solution if you could bring it up without a table selected and show all tables in the navigator or make the Schema Browser window like the F4 window with the ability to move it anywhere outside the main Toad window.

Debbie says: I like your idea. What is the competitor product you speak of?
I wasn't sure if mentioning a competitors product was allowed but it's PL/SQL Developer by Allaround Automation.
